In taking the helm as president & CEO of GAP Marine Construction, Gustavo Payano has realized his dreams.  Payano brings more then 13 years of experience in the marine construction industry and the promise to benchmark the standards of excellence in marine construction.

He is a native of the Dominican Republic. After spending 17 years excelling at his much loved sport of baseball was drafted to play professionally by the Kansas City Royals.  Payano has applied the stringent work ethics along with integrity that developed in baseball to his marine construction company.

Payano’s experience includes having worked for a large commercial marine construction company and as a supervisor for one of the leading marine construction companies in Florida.  Previous to acquiring GAP Marine Construction, he was also a superintendent for one of the largest developers of marinas in the state of Florida.

Through a concentrated and logical progression, Gustavo has gained experience in all facets of marine construction, residential and commercial. He takes his craft seriously and is involved in a myriad of professional associations that support the community and marine construction industry.
